Astral Traveling 16 x Coco Maria – Mário Rui Silva – Stories From Another Time (1982-1988)

This time Astral Traveling invite DJ, Radio Host, Curator and music sharer extraordinaire @cocomaria___ to present a personal favourite of hers. As some of you might know from her flagship morning show “Breakfast Club Coco” on @worldwide.fm , the passion and energy with which Ana Lucia can share the music she loves is difficult to match, so this will be a special session.
Coco Maria discovered the beautiful music of Angolan artist Mario Rui Silva thanks to her friend @kay_suzuki_music running the London-based @timecapsulesoundslabel that released this gem. On this record called “Stories From Another Time” the label compiled an album based on three records that Mario released in the 1980s. Since Ana Lucia got the album, it has become a recurrent play at home and one that especially helps her in tricky times. In her own words – ‘It is music with lots of soul’.
